Mediterranean Lamb Chops With Garlic + Herbs

Mediterranean Lamb Chops

Mediterranean Lamb Chops

Lamb is a staple protein in most Mediterranean cuisines. From Turkish to Israeli to Greek food you’ll find lamb in many forms like kebabs, stews, roasts, and shawarma. This Mediterranean Lamb Chop recipes combines some of the key flavors of the region—garlic, olive oil, parsley, oregano, and lemon to make a meal reminiscent of the seaside region.

I loved lamb even when I was a kid. My mom made lamb chops occasionally as a weeknight dinner, but more often it was reserved for a special occasion like Easter, Christmas, or birthdays. The other night my parents bought lamb loin chops for us to have for dinner because I was supposed to have surgery a few days after, and they wanted me to have a nice meal before.

I decided to make Mediterranean Lamb Chops with them, and everyone raved about them! The best part is they were so easy to make! I just rubbed on my Lamb Chops Marinade, and coated them in my Mediterranean blend of garlic and herbs, let them sit, and then popped the lamb chops in the oven.

What to Serve with Mediterranean Lamb Chops?

This is such a versatile dish, really almost any vegetable and/or starch could work as a side dish. But if you’re keeping in Mediterranean mode, I’d vote for these 2: Cucumber, Tomato, and Onion Salad which is complexly veggie based and/or our Lebanese Bulgur Wheat

Pasta can also pair well with Mediterranean Lamb Chops. Like Bucatini Cacio e Pepe, or even a red sauce like Marinara.

As I said, this dish does not need a sauce. But is you must have a sauce, try our Fat-Free Tzatziki for a creamy yoghurty sauce, or to stick with garlic and herbs, Genovese Pesto is always a winner. Or not a sauce per se, but Caponata, also makes a delicious Mediterranean inspired topping, or even a sprinkle of feta cheese.
